1953 PTS Touring Choir Travel Log

During the last days of the Korean War, the Seminary’s Touring Choir traveled to Japan and Korea. While singing and doing missionary work, they performed 118 times and sang for nearly 43,000 people.

During Reunion 2010, some choir members came to campus to present photos, stories, and memorabilia.

The twenty-four singers, accompanied by choir director David Hugh Jones and his wife, traveled by train, plane, truck, boat, and landing craft while on their fifty-two-day tour. Here, Herb Stocker (Class of 1955) hands candy to children who wait for troop trains.
