1953 PTS Touring Choir Travel Log

During the last days of the Korean War, the Seminary’s Touring Choir traveled to Japan and Korea. While singing and doing missionary work, they performed 118 times and sang for nearly 43,000 people.

During Reunion 2010, some choir members came to campus to present photos, stories, and memorabilia.

Seven of the singers in the 1953 Touring Choir returned to campus in 2010 to re-live their missionary work. Pictured are, from left, Paul Rutgers, John Lee, Don Pendell, Phil Young, Al Davies, Arlo Duba, and Jim MacKellar. All were Class of 1955, except Lee, who graduated in 1956.
