Each year, students from the seminary step forward to serve as Deacons in our community. These students feel called to a ministry of hospitality and care giving in our midst. The theme the Deacons have chosen for their ministry this year comes from Ephesians 2: 19, we are “no longer strangers…” It is also in this spirit that we offer this Lenten Devotional to you. Each day during this season of Lent, there will be a scripture text from the Daily Lectionary as well as a devotion prepared by our deacons, faculty, administrators, and other students. The devotions will be written text, pieces of art, photographs, and even music. We pray that these offerings will enrich your journey thought Lent. We also hope that by engaging them you will get to know us a bit better so we are “no longer strangers.”
